On my upcoming trip, I'm thinking about going to House of Blues. I've never been there before so I have some questions. Do you have to have a reservation? Is the food good? Is it expensive?
HOB to me is a HIT OR MISS!!! Have eaten in ORLANDO(DTD) a HIT, Boston (Cambridge, MA., Myrtle Beach and Vegas) to me were all MISSES!!!
It has a fabulous theme and awesome decor. The Bands are generally very very good. A wonderful gift shop but I am disappointed at other HOB's I have been to!!!
I have eaten there 3 times in the last 4 years and have always had great food and great service! It fills up quick. I usually have a 20-30 min wait but I dont mind because I love the food!
I didn't think they took ADR's only reservations via their website? When I called in December to make an ADR it wouldn't go through so I went to the website and made a reservation.
We have not eaten there a lot, but enough. And never had a bad meal, or service.
I don't think their prices are all that bad. And *I think* they offer a larger AP meal discount than most places. (20%?)
DH occasionally goes to concerts there, and eats there before.
We have always wanted to go to the Sunday gospel brunch, but have not done that yet.
We love HoB! Unfortunately they don't participate in the DDP, or I'd be going again in Aug. They took ADRs every time I went. If you go when the weather is nice, dine on the back patio. We've loved everything we've eaten there: the cornbread, voodoo shrimp, jambalaya, shrimp po boy, chicken satay... should I go on and on??? My kids declared HoB has the best mac&cheese anywhere...they don't give out the recipe though. Great funky atmosphere too!
Our friends love that place so we ate there with them and DH had a fantastic shrimp po boy and I have a great ceasar salad and gumbo to die for, they served it with warm rosemary cornbread and butter....YUMMY
