We ate there on our last trip and I must say it was the worst dining exp I ever had. It was me and my 2 children and the bill was 58.00... :rolleyes2

We had dinner ressies for 7 but were not seated until 7:45 because they forgot that I made ressies and signed me in. I was ready to blow by then.

I had rosemary chicken and my daughter had a cheeseburgar of the kids menu and my son had chicken fingers, NOTHING had any type of salt, pepper or seasoning. everything was just warm and my potatoes had a thin layer of crust :guilty: Our waitress was slow as can be and not just in movement either we had 20 min waits between salad and chicken. Someone please tell me how long it takes to make chicken.

Needless to say I will NEVER eat there again not even if it is free. :sad2:

Anyone have any bad dining experiences they want to share.

House of Blues is one of our favorite stops and we have never had a bad meal there. It's not one of the restaurants that typically gets negative reviews either. Bad experiences can happen...it sounds like you had one for sure. Waiting extra time to be seated certainly didn't help.

While I have never had any "bad" meals, I have certainly left places saying "There was no way that meal was worth the $80 we paid".

I think the biggest issue I used to have with WDW food was the lack of quality for the price. However, in the past 8 years or so Disney has really improved the quality of food in my opinion. During our last two trips we have been pleasantly surprised at the improvement in quality. I think they finally have hit the sweet spot in regards to price/quality, but better is always better. :)

We have eaten at perhaps 85% of the restaurants in WDW. There are very few places we haven't eaten at at least once. I need to make a list to find out which we haven't.

I have to say, I absolutly loved the HOB the one time I went. I forget what my wife had but I had the po boy and it was darn good.

It was so good that it made the list of places I know I'm going for one meal no matter what happens.

It was for lunch so I can't comment on the dinner menu. Seems like more of a lunch place to me.

I am sorry you had such a negative experience. We ate there on a previous trip and loved it. But on that same trip we had a horrendous experience at Chef Mickey's for breakfast. So I know how it is to seem like the only person who dislikes one of everyone else's favorites. Unfortunately sometimes you just get a bad time someplace.

I really liked my meal at House Of Blues. No complaints from me.

Oh, yes! That shrimp po boy was DELISH! :thumbsup2

I am so sorry that you and your family had such a bad experience. Unfortunately, any restaurant can have an off night. It seems that the majority of people who post here report having good meals at HOB, but that doesn't make your experience any better. I hope the rest of the meals on your trip were good.

We went once for the Gospel Brunch. We didn't care for the food or the show

I have been to the HOB many times and while the service isn't always the swiftest, I find the food to be delicious. They have a wild mushroom pasta I order just about every time I go. Its sooooo yummy.

Tonnie: I'm sorry you had such and awful time at the House of Blues! I guess all I can say is that they were having an "OFF" night! we've eaten there a ton of times and always had a great time and great food! my kids have had their burgers with no problems and the DH and I have tried almost everything else on the menue through the years. The only thing that I've found is that you HAVE to like Cajun (sp) frood! my favorite is the shrimp with the cornbread and sauce...I can't remember the name for the life of me! how embarassing!

At HOB since it one of our favorites,DW and I have enjoyed several great meals there. It must have been a bad night for them and that doesn't help you with your experience. You are not alone though in having a bad meal where others just love it.For us it is Alfredo's at Epcot. We ahve tried 3 times and not been happy with any of them.Other folks just love it and I guess its been our bad luck that we have chosen times when it was a bad night at Alfredo's.I hope if you do ever try HOB again you will have a great experience. :wave2:
