Okay... Looking for something different to do on our no kids disney trip in May. :) Thinking about either:

House of Blues Gospel Brunch

or

Nawlin's Brunch Fest at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen

on the Sunday we are there. Any experience with either of these? Do you prefer the food at one over the other?

Thanks!!! :lovestruc

Can't do a comparison for you since we haven't done the House of Blues Gospel Brunch. We did try the Nawlin's Brunch Fest at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen once when it was a fairly new offering. Our family very much enjoyed that experience. The menu items for adults were several items from the lunch menu plus some special New Orleans style breakfast entrees. DH had an egg dish, and I had the filet mignon burger (we ate around 11 AM so could go either way), and we split and order of beignets. The boys loved the kids buffet. There was a line of chafing dishes set up with all kinds of kid favorites including eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, mini hamburgers, macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, fruit, and desserts. For the kids it was all-you-can eat; no buffet option for adults (we felt like we had plenty to eat though). There was also a cotton candy machine and a guy visiting each table doing card tricks and handing out beads, so it felt pretty festive. We were seated inside in the room with the bar, and that's where the kid buffet and the jazz band were located.

Thank you!! :thumbsup2

Have only been to the Gospel Brunch. It was fabulous -- the largest brunch buffet I've ever been to, and all the food was delicious. Wish I was a big eater so I could have eaten some of everything.
My only suggestion would be to not sit too close to the stage.

Fantastic! They both sound so great and different from what we're used to... I'm struggling with which one to do! Maybe we'll just draw out of a hat.... ;)

Thanks for your input! :)

Have not had brunch at either place but have eaten at both multiple times for other meals.

For us, Ralph Brennan's has consistently better food and service (and atmosphere) than House of Blues. We eat at Ralph Brennan's on every trip, sometimes more than once. Sounds like you can't really go wrong here though based on other reviews.
