House of Blues question

We were going to try House of Blues for dinner. Would the kids enjoy it? We will have a 5, 6 and 7 year old with us. Is the food good? This is one of the few places we have not tried yet in DTD. Thank you!

I think that the food is ok at HOB. Good, but nothing to write home about. Definitely filling though - big portions!

It will be ok for your kids as long as you're there earlier in the evening. It can get packed with a lot of drinkers as the evening progresses, especially if there is a show there that night.

One of the best times to do House Of Blues is for their Sunday Gospel Brunch. It's the closets thing that DL has to a dinner show nowadays. The food is very good and you get some amazing performers.

I haven't eaten there, but I did buy a shirt for my dh (Blues Brothers ) and discovered that they will give you an ap discount for merchandise as well as food. Just thought I'd mention that, since I tend to think of deluxe ap discounts as being mainly for food in DTD. I guess if you're at one of the food places that gives ap discounts, the savings can apply to merchandise, too.

We ate there early (around 5:30) on a Monday night with our 4 year old and 2 year old. The server was a young guy about 19-20 and he was so charming and patient with our kids. We thought the food was good. I ordered a mac n' cheese dish off the apps menu that was baked in a mini cast iron skillet with crumb topping for the kids and it was the best mac n' cheese I have ever tasted. It's no longer on the menu on allears, tho. Someone got the Jambalaya, my hubby did the shrimp po'boy and it was HUGE. I didn't order an entree, just ate some of the kids mac n' cheese and cheese pizza. We liked it!
