I'm not sure who I'm more upset with, myself or House of Blues.

A month ago, I purchased tickets for the Gospel Brunch for an upcoming trip. I did it online, which pushes you out to a Live Nation/Ticketmaster web site. $210 for four of us.

I was all happy about getting the tickets at the time. I knew they had a no-refund policy, which made me nervous, but the policy is what it is, and we wanted to see the show.

Darn it all, I'm just now seeing that DVC members are supposed to get either a 20% discount or buy-3-get-1-free for the brunch. I called to ask if it was possible to get the discount retroactively. Nope. All sales are final. Nothing to be done. She told me that had I called instead of doing it online, they would have asked me about discounts. The Ticketmaster site doesn't accommodate the DVC discount.

Sigh.

Just one more reason to hate Ticketmaster;) I feel your pain Dave, I hate it when I forget to check for a discount or benefit. It was nice of you to post a reminder as a public service though:thumbsup2

Sorry you couldn't get your discount but thanks for the heads up. I knew the Gospel Brunch wouldn't take TIW but did not know that DVC got a 20% discount.

Enjoy the show and brunch!

The Gospel Brunch is so awesome, you'll forget all about this and just be glad you had the experience. Enjoy!

That is why the band Pearl Jam did what they did in the 90's. They detested the idea that their fans had to pay an extra $25 to Ticketmaster to see them play. Too bad no other bands would support them back then
