Can anyone tell me if I can use dining plan credits to pay for the gospel brunch at House Of Blues? The websiye says you can, but when I called HOB they said the dining credits only pay a portion and I have to pay the remaining balance. Tried calling wdw-dine, but there is a long hold so I thought I'd ask here. Thank you!

That's interesting. I've asked this question before here on the DIS, but it was several years ago, and was told that you could NOT use the dining plan for the brunch. I wonder if that has changed or you're getting incorrect information.

@TheRustyScupper do you know the answer to this one?

I did end up calling wdw-dine and was told ddp IS accepted for the brunch. But I couldn't book it because the cm said my dates weren't showing up yet. ??? So I'm still not convinced.

It's right on the Disney Dining page

Sunday Gospel Brunch
Listen to the joyous music of top gospel groups as you feast on all-you-care-to-eat Southern-style fare. The buffet includes such favorites as chicken jambalaya and BBQ chicken, as well as scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bread pudding and made-to-order omelets.

Taking place at 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM most Sundays, this always joyful—and always popular—celebration requires an admission ticket to join in the festivities! Be sure to book and reserve yours up to 180 days prior to your visit by calling (407) 934-2006†.

Note: dining plans are now accepted for brunch.

†Guests under the age of 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

Yep, I saw it on the website too. So when I called HOB to book, I was confused when she advised me I would still be charged $30+ per ticket

It would make sense that you have to book through Disney to use the dining plan. They are probably released in the Disney system later so they can get all the cash reservations filled first.

There could be a surcharge, but $30 on a $43 ticket seems excessive. Hope this works out for you.

There could be a surcharge,

1) Yes, there is a surcharge.
2) The normal pricing is $43 per ticket, for either a child or an adult.
3) DDP does not reimburse that amount, so the guest has to make up the difference.
4) This is only fair to the establishment . . . DDP is not a catch-all for every location and every menu item.
5) The prices might have changed, but the surcharge used to be $21 per ticket.

Thank you all for responding. And thank you Rusty Scupper. That's exactly what I was looking for--specifics so I could plan accordingly. I appreciate it!

Let's hope with the new "bids" for DDP, they increase the reimbursement amounts, so there is no surcharge.
