My son has chosen this restaurant (we each get to pick one place for dinner) because he loves cajun food. I have never heard it mentioned by anyone here....good or bad. Does anyone have anything to report? Thanks!

We went there for a gospel brunch last time we were in Orlando and the food was absolutely fantastic!! We will be going again (for dinner this time) in April, and I have a feeling this could be the start of a new tradition for us! :goodvibes

I haven't been to the one in Disney but used to frequent the one in Myrtle Beach (I looked at the menu it was the same) If he likes cajun food the Jambalaya is GOOD and very spicy!!!! I order it every time I go there!!!

We had dinner there 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. We definitely plan to return at some point.

We loved HOB - wide selection and cool setting, good food at good prices! The concert hall also looks awesome! One day I hope to catch a band there...

We ate there in early Dec. We all really enjoyed the food and the service was great. Also, the prices are really good and they have some yummy mixed drinks. :)

I see on average two shows there every month. It is an awesome venue with great sound. It's well run, security is generally friendly but firm. I've never felt unsafe, and security levels vary by show. Whitesnake was a simple bag check, Sevendust was a full body search and metal detector scan. They know their audience and plan accordingly. You can order light snacks at the bar--chicken fingers, cajun chicken sandwiches, etc., and they often have a stand that sells hot dogs and candy.

Other than the balcony area which isn't always open and sometimes is VIP only, it's generally standing room only general admission. There are great site lines via a multitiered approach to the room's layout, and harldy a bad place to see in the entire house.

Lunch there is great -- the burgers are huge and the fries are "peppered." Highly recommend.

We've been several times and all the items we've ordered were very good, especially the Voodoo Shrimp!!! :goodvibes

I've eaten there four times. I keep intending to try other places at DTD, but somehow it never happens. :teeth:
The Jambalaya IS good. They have plenty of "normal" food as well if you don't care for cajun.

We usually go once per trip.Yummy pizza and sandwiches. The Jake is good or was it the Elwood? Kids loved the fries and desserts. The decor is funky.Amazing what you can make out of bottle caps.

HoB is one of my new favorites! Very convenient to Cirque. Nice food, well prepared. Everyone loved their choices. And if you get Eli, well, he's wonderful! Ask him about the Stella Artois.

We have been there twice, Its Yummy. DH loves the Elwood. ( Blackened Chicken Sandwhich) I dont mind the blue burger but Im not a fan of spicy food. Just make sure to make ressie's because we didnt one time and that's how we wandered onto the Earl of Sandwhich, which by no means do we regret.

Can you make a reservation at House of Blues? And do you think it would be necessary for a party of 8 arriving about 8 ish on wed night next week? This is our first night in WDW.

We have reservations for 10 this summer and were advised there would be 2 separate tables (but next to each other) if timing wasn't perfect to push them together. Not certain how a party of 8 would go.

We have eaten in the one at Pleasure Island, Myrtle Beach and Vegas and they are all awesome!! My DS, as well loves cajun food. Your DS picked a good one!!! You all will find something on the menu you like and sometimes depending when you go you will see a LIVE band while eating. :flower:

p.s. they also have really cool "gift shops" to buy a t-shirt or even a bottle of their famous hot sauce...

If you are not interested in sitting in the loud restaurant the last time we were there we were seated on the back patio overlooking the water. It was beautiful and quiet (no wait either). I thought the food was excellent!

We ate here last week and just walked in (around 5 pm). The place was practically deserted, no reservations were needed. I'm sure the sumertime is quite different.
