Up early again, only this time to meet with a realtor in Longwood, FL. After eating breakfast in the lobby of the Courtyard Marriott, we gassed up the car and started the journey Northeast to Longwood. We spent until around 2:30 pm driving around the greater Orlando area looking at neighborhoods and homes. We decided that the Clermont area, south of 50, would best suit our needs.
We headed back to the hotel to change, and they were having Happy Hour in the downstairs lounge. There would start the greatest love affair between child and bird that ever was! In the lounge there was a character of the "Tipsy Parrot" which BTW was the name of the Lounge. DD fell in love with that bird! She danced with it. It would pick her up and swing her around everytime it saw her. It signed DD's autograph album and then DD wrote it a note in her autograph album and the bird asked if she could keep it. DD was in heaven, and DH and I were enjoying the free beverages. During this time another huge storm blew through, and a bolt of lightening hit near the Courtyard, setting off the fire alarm. The fire personnel had to come check out everything before the alarm could be reset, which was about 30 minutes. Because of it, the happy hours was extended another 30 minutes. The happy hour is really cool. They serve free draft beer, wine, sodas and have pop corn and nachos available in the lounge for hotel guests every afternoon from 4-6 and the managers serve the drinks. All this on top of the room for only $20.02---what a bargain!!!
At 6 we headed to the Beach Club for our 6:50 PS at Cape May Cafe--- our never miss restaurant! We valet parked the car and headed inside. In the lobby, they had Toon Disney which DD was beginning to have withdrawl from, so she was able to watch that while DH and I had a beer and waited for the table. Dinner was fantastic, as usual, and the service was very good. Our server never stopped moving... she worked harder than any full service server I have ever encountered, and I gladly tipped her over 20%!
We headed to the MK for E ticket night, but had to wait in line at Guest relations for DH and DD to activate their AP's. There seemed to be a few issues going on there about people having lost their passes, but having no proof of them, wanting to get into the park and go to E ticket night. Finally, our turn came, so I have no idea the outcome... they were still there arguing with the CM's when we were done.
DD wanted to ride Aladdin, so we headed there 1st, after seeing the end of SpectroMagic. We rode twice, getting spit on by the Camels each time. There was no line at all for this ride at that time. We then headed over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and rode twice, with minimal wait. After the 1st ride, we stopped and watched the MK fireworks, and then there really was no wait at all for the 2nd ride. We ended up riding it 3 times!!! There was little to no wait at Splash Mountain, either! We decided to wear our ponchos on it this time, since it had cooled off after the storm, and we really didn't want to get too wet. Haunted Mansion was next on the list, with little to no wait.
We headed into Tomorrowland, and rode Buzz Lightyear with only about a 5 minute wait. We rode that twice, as well. On to Space Mountain, and waited about 5-8 minutes. I don't know what it is about that ride, but it seems to get rougher as the day goes on, because it was SUPER rough this time around! Then we finished up on the TTA, which was really relaxing, and gave you a super view of Space Mountain. I had never remembered being able to see that much of the ride!
It was 1 am when we got back to the room, and we collapsed, as we knew that we had another early morning coming up!
