Hours have changed at MK!!!!

Just wanted to give everyone a "heads up". I just checked the hours on the official Disneyworld.com website and MK hours have changed for the week of May 9-15th. That is when we are going so I'm not sure about other weeks. The closing hours have increased by 1/2 hour. Since MK will have the EMH on Wed. that would mean they would be open until midnight if the EMH is for 3 hours!!! I couldn't be happier...how about all you guys?

I was wondering how the park closed at 8:30 and they had wishes at 8:45.

[edit - I just noticed that they also pushed wishes back 15 minutes from 8:45 to 9:00]

Thanks for the heads up. MK hours changed the week prior as well. Instead of an 8:30 close it's 9:00 and on Saturday, 5/8, is now 11:00 (it was 10:00). I am just thrilled!!!! We'll be there 5/6-5/10.

Great news!!! But I do wish they would extend hours at Animal Kingdom too.

Do you think the extended hours are a sign that they are e xpecting bigger crowds or is it because the days are getting longer and they need it dark for Wishes and Fantasmic?
