We are traveling to WDW in the next few days and are not dining in our usual manner. We are switching it up and having our sit down meal for lunch and doing counter service for dinner. My question is how late does starring rolls stay open and will we find a decent selection of food. I know that sometimes we have found that this type of establishment does seem to have shorter hours or run out of a lot of items later in the day and I want to plan accordingly. Thanks for your help.

Two weeks ago, as we passed by, I thought I saw that it closed at 4:00 PM on a F! friday.

In March it also closed at 4pm. We went in around 2:30pm for a snack & there wasn't much left at all.

Thanks for the information. I guess we will rethink our plans for dinner. Maybe we will get the sandwiches and dessert early and take it back to the resort and save it for before we go back to the park . Better to know than be surprised with the hungry hoard getting impatient at dinner time.

Just be forewarned - some of the desserst are too big for the "to go" containers they have - we got a Buuterfinger Cupcake to take back to the room & it was a heck of a mess til we got it there! make sure youhave some sort of bag along if you're taking multiple things (they had no "to go" bags the day we were there).

Time your pick-up early, and make sure you pack some giant (2 gal. size) ziplock bags to pop the to-go containers into, because the to-go containers are not air-tight so your items will quickly get stale when exposed to air.

Starring Rolls is a pastry and lunch place...they get a set number of pre-made sandwiches (made at Brown Derby's kitchen next door) and set number of desserts for the day (not baked on-site) Note that the sandwiches are not made custom for each customer...you have to take what they have (no leaving the sauce or cheese off...they're giant premade sandwiches that they cut wedges off for individual servings. If you have picky eaters in your party they may not care for these sandwiches. We love them, but have had guests who like "dry" sandwiches...or want regular yellow mustard, etc...they did not like the choices here. Basically it's a turkey or a ham.) Anyway, when those sandwiches are gone, they're done serving lunch for the day. We've been there are 1:30 and no sandwiches left. Same with the bakery goodies...if they're mostly gone at 3:00, they'll close. They absolutely close by 4:00.
