Hi All!
I spent over an hour on the phone last night looking at availability and rate comparisons [had to come up with something for DH's daughter who will be coming up to our vacation for part of the trip with her children [taking deep breath and repeating my mantra about family peace
]
As long I was on the phone I figured I'd check to see if any AP rooms had opened up. Here's the rundown I got DEC 2-9: Poly, there was an AP rate available, but he said that it would be $400 more for the same room that I already have booked under AAA. No other rooms were available at any rate code.
GF and CR = no availability with any AP,AAA or MYW rates. [I didn't get the sense that there was any availability, didn't explicitly ask.
We found a few rooms that were available for split stay scenarios.WL had a standard club level, Dec 2-5, but the rate CM's computer kicked out as the "AP" rate was the rack rate my computer offered.
Both the Yacht Club and the Beach Club had rooms Dec 5-9, mostly club level, no discounts applicable.
Values have occasional rooms pop up. While on the phone, we saw a POP room come and go, as well as a Movies. The end decision was between Sports or Coronado Springs. I was able to see a water-view room CM couldn't and booked at his urging [he could only see suites] CM checked my booking after I got it through my computer and could pull the ressie by number to insure it went through the system. CM told me to print it immediately and not worry b/c Disney will have to honor it even if its their computer's glitch.
SOOO.....slim pickings at discounts. Some availability, but will take patience and persistence to get a room. If you see a room online, CMs may not have it in their computers.
CM did share with me that he hasn't seen anything like the volume for that first 2 weeks of Dec. that he could recall....
Good Luck to my fellow DISers!
