Hotwire savings club

What are the advantages of joining the Hotwire Savings Club? I was planning to use my AAA discount to purchase park hoppers and was wondering whether I could get better discounts through Hotwire. We are going to Disney in November and will only be visiting the theme parks, so we do not need discount coupons for the water parks, or any other recreational activities. We are not renting a car and are staying on Disney property, so we also do not need coupons for restaurants outside of Disney. Would joining Hotwire still benefit me?

I just joined about 2 weeks ago and they were offering a 30 free trial period. They also were offering a $10 rebate off your first purchase.

I priced 4 day park hoppers for a friend, he said that they were $3 or $4 cheaper than AAA, and they were Plus tickets. AAA tickets did not have the plus options in their price.

I joined and am seeing the benefits ouside of Disney savings. I've saved about $52 so far, and I haven't even left my town! They offer alot of discounts on gift cards for stores and restaurants. I would sign up for the free trial period, you have nothing to lose....

I also just recently joined and have purchased 4 PHP passes for our trip in November. Adult tickets were $208.96 including taxes and shipping is free! That's the best price I've seen anywhere. I will cancel after i receive the tickets in the mail and before the 30 day trial is up.

Wow. That would save me about $55 off two adult tickets, over the AAA price. So even if I paid one-month Hotwire club fee, I'd come out ahead. Did they tell you how long it takes to get the PHP tickets -- is it a quick turnaround or a matter of weeks?
I had a Disney consultant tell me that the Disney price is the the same as AAA for park hoppers, but that's not true because the Disney price does not include taxes, so I was planning to go through AAA. This looks like an even better price.

Oh, maybe I misunderstood. I need 5-day park hopper passes. I think they're about $236/with tax through AAA.

OK. I enrolled in the trial membership, and will probably cancel it in the morning. Before you enroll, you should probably know the site offers only the Park Hopper Plus pass. At $248 for an adult ticket, that's $12 per ticket higher than the regular park hopper pass I can get through AAA. We're not interested in the "plus" because we only plan to tour the theme parks. The site does offer discounted vouchers for various meals, but they're fairly specific. We have priority seating for Chef Mickey's, but Hotwire only offers a voucher if you're going to breakfast there, not dinner. Since most of the Disney offers didn't work for me, I decided to check out regular shopping discounts. I often buy teachers $15 or $20 gift certificates to Borders or Barnes and Noble for Christmas, but you can only purchase $25 gift certificates on the site, which is higher than I wanted to go. I'm sure some people find the club useful, but I found the discounts a little too restrictive for my needs.

The plus portion of the PHP passes can also be used at Pleasure Island, not just the water parks. That's what we'll be using them for on our trip in Nov.

You pay the $25 for the gift certificate and then you are credited back $5 during the first week of the next month. Therefore, you receive a $25 gift certificate for $20. I hope that helps!

Is there any limit on the number of park hoppers you can buy? We will be a group of 8 adults and 2 children, so I am wondering if we can get all the passes through hotwire.

Also, how quickly do they mail the tickets to you...are you sure to receive them before the 30 day trial expires?

I think you should easily be able to receive them during the 30 day trial. I ordered some food vouchers and gift certificates and they arrived in less than a week. I will now maintain the account until my credit for the gift certificates. After the credit hits my credit card, I will cancel my membership.

I have joined and bought our tickets and several meal vouchers through Hotwire. I think it's great.

Our tickets came within the week and no shipping charges. I also ordered Q&C and VKL vouchers. I will get more before we leave for our trip. If I pay for our meals ahead of time, then there's more money to spend on "extras" in the parks.

Our PHP's were cheaper at Hotwire than anywhere else that I felt was reputable on the internet, including Disney itself. I love WDW, but they are very "proud" of their PHPs.

A previous poster is correct though, they only sell park hopper pluses. We're going in November and are hoping to do a water park, especially since they have heated pools (from what I read--Birnbaums 2004)

Hotwire definately works for me. I'll use the gift card options too.

I think I got my Vouchers in a 7-8 days. I live in California.
I also just got my $10 back for making my first purchase. I thought I would get a credit on my card, but I got a check in the mail yesterday.
