Hotwire Car rentals

Anyone ever do their car rental through hotwire?

I put in all our info for a standard car and for 6 .5 days it would cost us around 159.00. I thought that was a stellar deal and hubby says to book it!

We are going the end of May. Is it too early to book this? Should I wait or should I just do it being that its an awesome deal? or is it?

Also, anyone have any good or bad feedback from hotwire???

We used hotwire for the first time in January.

We got an economy car from Hertz (mazda 3) for 5 days, for just over 100 bucks, including all taxes, etc. Amazing deal! It went really well for us and will certainly book car rentals this way again. Good luck.

We used Hotwire for our upcoming trip and we "won" an intermediate car for $196 for 9 days for the beginning of May. The company is with Hertz. It was the best deal out there and my only caution with using Hotwire or Priceline is to make sure that you know that you will not have to cancel your trip. Not sure if the prices go up the closer you get to your actual travel date.

I'm trying to rent a car for 7 days starting this Tuesday and Hotwire's lowest quote is over $500. Guess it has something to do with the Daytona 500. I'm NOT going to pay that when I've never paid more than $175 for a week. Totally going to roll with it and wait it out.
