Hotwire Car Rentals

Has anyone rented a car through Hotwire recently? I just got a quote from them that is about $75 less than any quote I have been able to get. Also, their site says they rent through Avis, Budget or Hertz--has anyone had any major problems with these companies and are they located on or off airport property? If these companies have VIP-type programs that speed your check-in, would I still be able to do that? I've never used Hotwire or any internet travel site before so any advice would be great!

Bumping for the morning ... my boss told me to try this too. But my quote only came in at about $20 less. Not sure if I should bother.

Thanks for the bump! I probably wouldn't bother either if the savings were just a few $$$. I did check some reviews on bizrate and Hotwire did pretty well there. Most of the complaints I did see were more about the car companies rather than Hotwire's service. And from what I've seen and experienced, problems can occur with any company no matter how you book. I am still wondering though if you can use VIP-type programs for these companies if you book through Hotwire. Could be helpful if I get there at a busy time and the lines are long.
