Hotwire - 3 star hotels??

Hello,

THANKS for all of the great advice and tips!!! I am planning a long awaited vacation in March-- wavering between ALL STAR hotels and off site.

With your advice, I checked out HOTWIRE-- cannot afford what is coming up for 4 star hotels, but there are some great prices on 3 and 3.5 star places.

Any advice, guidance is appreciated. Are these hotels usually in Lake BV or Kissamee (or are they the same?)

I like the site and it's informative, but the woman that moderates it (Sheryl I think her name is) could stand to be a little bit nicer to people coming to her site.

I bid on Hotwire and won the Holiday Inn on Hotel Plaza Blvd on WDW. The hotels on this street are walking distance from DD. I put in Walt Disney World area only. It was a 3.5* for $35. Amenities listed are: Restaurant, Pool, HiSpeed Internet. I've seen this come up before but never had the nerve to bid without knowing what property we'd get. I saw a post on the DIS boards this morning about someone else who got this for the same dates, so I took the chance. Glad I did!
