I love seeing pictures of the parks all decked out for Christmas. Looking at your day plans it reminded me of the french toast thingy I had at the main street bakery for breakfast one day. It was one of the high lights of my trip. I recommend trying that.

I've been looking at that, as well. I found the recipe a while back and I don't want to try it until I've had it at WDW first. This way, I'll know what it's supposed to look like and all!
:woohoo:

Wow! You have got your carp together! How's it feel!???

Tease - Ghirardelli's was YUM, YUM! Just watch out for the guy with the broom!!!!;)

I should have my TR up and running by Sunday.

Well done with all the plans, I just hate it when you get to the last day, I don't want to thnk of that bit :sad1:

I think for a couple of those TS restaurants we're doing it the morning while you are doing it later (Crystal Palace we have breakfast and you have dinner and Ohana's we're going for breakfast and you're doing dinner ;) )

All looks good though :thumbsup2 I'm getting more and more excited :cloud9:

I just got all caught up with your plans and I love that you are making time to venture out and check out the Christmas decorations of other resorts!

Btw, Mandi- sweetie- sugar- it isn't hard to come up with 10 posts, I promise ;)

OK, Mandi... just one more post. You can do it!

I know you are busy... but maybe sometime on Saturday when the big debate is all over with. Please?!

Off topic for just one moment: As you may know, Mandi's school is in the spotlight today. We are all still waiting to see what is going on exactly. One interesting item, though... since she works on campus for the IT department, Mandi is providing tech support for the Scrt Srvc (has to be on the down low :lmao: ). Pretty cool.

So, if you get the chance, check out the debate tonight (if it still goes on) and see how pretty her campus is. They have worked so hard for this to happen, and I hope the school shines tonight!

French Toast Loaf

YIELD: 1 Loaf

Ingredients:

12 slices day-old white bread (preferably a homestyle white, not Wonder Bread
type)

8 oz. butter (chilled and sliced)

Brown sugar batch:

9 oz, light brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix together and set aside.

Batter:

10 oz. heavy cream
4 large eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Mix together and refrigerate until ready to use.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Method:

Liberally spray a loaf pan with Pam or other vegetable spray. Layer three slices day old bread on bottom of pan. Sprinkle 1/3 brown sugar mixture on top of bread, then layer 1/3 of the butter. Repeat these steps two more times. Top off with three more slices of bread (should have a total of 12 slices of bread). Press down with hand to compact bread into loaf pan.

Slowly pour 16 oz. of batter over top of loaf, covering completely. This may take a little time, to allow it to fully absorb into bread and flow into spaces at bottom. (Take
your time here and pour into corners. Lift bread at corners a little to get into bottom quicker if you want.)

Place loaf pan on some paper towel in case of overflow. Cover top of loaf with parchment paper and wrap top tightly with aluminum foil. Place in refrigerator and allow to sit overnight.

Heat oven to 325º F. Bake for approximately 1 hour or until internal temperature in center of loaf is 160 degrees. Uncover and bake for another 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes. Place a plate on top of loaf pan and invert to remove from pan. Cut into 7 slices and serve.

You're the best!!!:cool1:

I just finished making pancakes for the family for breakfast but there is still tomorrow!
