I won the Westin Imagine on Priceline for our stay in January, and the hotel has mandatory valet parking. I expected to pay some type of resort or parking fee with a 4* hotel, but I am not crazy about having to use valet parking. Apparently, the hotel does not allow any self-parking. I like to keep things in the car and have access to the car without an attendant. Does anybody know if there is any possible problems with car rental contracts and valet parking in that the contracts normally limit who is permitted to drive the car? Also, is it still customary to tip the attendants if you pay a daily fee to the hotel for the valet parking. Thanks for any responses.

You the renter are responsible for any damage that a valet my cause. However, you would be reimbursed by the valet company's insurance.

The fee paid to the hotel is for the parking space. It does not include the gratuity for the valet.

You tip each time you get your vehicle. Two or three dollars, more if it's raining.

If you store things in the car, be sure they are in the glove box or trunk.
