Are there any hotels that sleep 6? We have 2 adults and 4 kids. I don't want to pay for 2 rooms.

We've had both a 1 bdrm suite at Hawthorn Suites and a 2 bdrm kidsuite at HIFS (being remodeled as the new Nick hotel). Both sleep 6 and were great - very spacious!

Try Tropical Palms FunSuites in Kissimmee. Sleeps 8, less than 100.00 night. Great place, very close to Disney.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Family Suites. We were three adults and five kids. Free breakfast for all, kids got to eat free (I think if under 12). Lots of fun activities - bingo, karaoke, face painting, pool activities, game room. Very short drive to WDW. Check them out at hifamilysuites.com or nickhotel.com.

Why a hotel ? Why not try a vacation home ? 3 beds loads of space forr less than a $100 per night we have stayed here www.orlando-rental-home.com a few times and love it !!

Cyrpess Pointe and Cypress Pointe Grande have 2 bedroom villas with one king, two twin (or twin w/ trundle) and a sleeper sofa. They also have 3 bedroom villas. They're not as expensive as I would have thought they'd be ... less than the cost of two motel rooms ... and they look nice. But I haven't actually stayed there yet (Feb 11th) so I can't offer any first hand info.

You can get a 3bdrm (3 bathroom) at Cypress Pointe for under 100.00 a night. We stayed in a 2 bdrm kidsuite at HIFS a few years ago, we liked the resort but we found the suite rather small for the 5 of us. If you have to use the livingroom sofa bed, no one can move until that person is up and the bed is back in place.

How did you fit in 8 people, Murrayhaven? or do they have 3 bedroom suites now?

Hi,
Try the Comfort Suites Maingate East . It will sleep six
and it is not far (old town) from Disney. Depending on
the time of year you are going, you may can get 2 rooms
at the AS or PC for $ 25.00 or $30.00 per nite more.
Being on site might be worth that, plus you would have
2 bath rooms. I also agree with going to Hotelkingdom.com
and looking at Cypress Pointe. Good Luck

Which of the options is the best for your group does depend a little on the ages and make up of the group. With 4 small children (all under 10 years) then the hotel suites should be more than enough room. If the kids are a little older/large and it would be difficult/embarrassing to have them share beds then it may be better to go for the largest unit type (a vacation home). Personally I'd go for the vacation home if you have your own car (or hire one). It will give you at least 2 bathrooms for the group, all the kids will get their own bed and bedroom, the adults can send the kids to bed and stay up a little later, enjoying a glass of wine,a beer and each other's company. You can also save a lot of money on food and drink costs, even if that just means having cereal, toast and bagels for breakfast and taking a couple of sodas each with you into the parks.

If you want hotel like facilities (communal pools etc) then there are a large number of suite hotels that would cover your needs. One of the best ways to get a deal on these is on http://www.hotwire.com , you don't know the actual resort until after you commit, but if you keep checking the website you will often find a great deal pops up from time to time.

Timeshare resorts are another option and many of those will offer a very good deal for your room costs ( for a short stay) if you agree to take their timeshare sales pitch. It does mean you have to give up a morning to go through the sales pitch, but for a 3 or 4 night stay it probably is the best way to get top class accommodation for the lowest cost. You will often see 3 or 4 night stays in a 2 bedroom unit ( up to 8 people) on offer for a total cost of $200-250.

With that group size, if you have your own transport I think a vacation home offers the most spacious accommodation at the best cost. Using a reputable local management company is one option, it does mean you pay slightly more for the house, but does give you some extra safeguards. http://www.pr-vacation.com is a company I have dealt with a lot in the past and was always happy with them. If you rent direct from the owner it can save you a little extra money http://www.vrbo.com is a good place to get a lot of information on the options this style of vacation choice can give you.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Nikki Bird Resort-two double beds, double sofa bed, fridge, microwave, in room safe, 3 swimming pools, arcade, for $65 a night!The best is that it is one mile from WDW and no traffic! We stayed at CPGV in mid-January, 2-BR with 2 ad and 2 kids. It also had a sofa bed, but we didn't use it. The one we had was just like having an apt. and we loved all the space. A 3-BR would probably work for 2 adults and 4 kids. And it is very close to Disney, a supermarket, and a variety of restaurants.
