Hotels on Katella, to the left of DCA?

Looking at a map, there are some value motels on Katella, on the left side (west) of DCA. If we were to chose one of those motels, how do we walk to DL? We've most recently stayed on Harbor, so entered that way. Would we walk North on Disneyland Dr. and enter over there somewhere?

The couple i am looking at are Anaheim Discovery Inn and Suites, Alamo inn and suites, etc. We want to be within walking distance, but also prefer to save our budgeted money for more fun in the park.

As of now, we are reserved at Anaheim Plaza Hotel and Suites.

I would head north on Disneyland Drive and then cut through the Grand California to access DTD. I stayed once to the west of Disneyland (near Euclid and Katella), so that was the route we used.

We have stayed at Stovall's Best Western, first hotel west of Disneyland Drive on Katella more than once through a package offered by one of the airlines vacation sites. We made the walk through the Grand Californian in the mornings, as described above, and usually would take the ART back at closing. BTW the hotel next door is a dump, you should pass on it specifically.
