Hi,
What off site hotel do you recommend???Looking to stay close to either WDW or Universal....But would like affordable prices....

What do you consider affordable? You can get good discounts at some of the hotels on Disney property that aren't disney hotels. What time of year are you going? There are several good Orlando web sites that offer hotel descriptions and ratings. Also I think mousesavers, allears, and some of the other disney only sites will have reviews of non-disney hotels.
Have fun:tongue: there are many to choose from!

we priceline-ed our room and got $24.00 a night for the La Quinta Inn which is about 2 miles out of the gate (they say 1.8) and they provide a shuttle service to the MK. :smooth: Not too shabby!

Definitely check out Priceline and first use www.biddingfortravel.com for tips.

Last August stayed at the Best western LBV Resort in DTD for $25/night, this summer booked at the Doubletree Villas Maingate for $39/night - both through priceline.

Also have stayed at the Wyndham on I-Drive which I liked and many get that one on Priceline in the $33 range.

Hi I booked the Hampton Inn in September for 44.10/a night, they have continental breakfast, and a free shuttle that goes to the TTC. This one claims to be one mile from Disney, but I called them personally, and they said they are half way between WDW and Universal. It's not on property but last time we overpaid because we waited too long to book with Disney. I reserved this room as a last resort, because they have no cancellation fees within a few days notice. I am really just waiting to see if any good codes come out and to see what the Fl resident rate is. :p
It is my back up hotel I would say, because I really love staying on site it is so in the magic!!
Hope this helps.
Go to www.hamptoninn.com this hotel is located at 8150 Palm Pkwy.

I'm looking to keep it under 100.00 per night.....We thought about either in the first week of July or maybe New Years week, still not sure.....
Thanks...

If your comfortable doing priceline or hotwire, you could get some really great deals on hotels. We've gotten:

Gaylord Palms - $85 - hotwire
Doubletree Club - $44 - hotwire - this one is right next to hotel plaza blvd entrance.

either go to betterbidding.com or biddingfortravel.com. These sites give you lots of tips and pointers. Good luck.
