Hi everyone,

I would like to do a stop over in SC off of I95 but cannot figure out which ones are off 95. Also, if I stop at 6am what time do you think they will kick us out? Do I have until 9pm or so that day or no? Anyone have experience with an way early check in? I am trying to gauge my timing.

Thanks for your help!
:)

Go to Google Maps. Type in Hotels near SC. The map will come up with hotels pinpointed everywhere. Click and drag to your heart's content all along I-95, or anywhere else.

They're going to kick you out of a hotel room at check-out time, which is usually 11:00 or 12:00.

I can't give any advice as to where to stop, except to say we always loved stopping at South of the Border when driving down from D.C as kids. It was so tacky that as kids we just loved it, plus there are numerous motel choices at varying cost levels. We only had my Dad driving, so he could only make it that far in a day.

But if you check in at 6am, you will be kicked out at the normal check out time of 10-12. You may be able to get late check out, but don't count on it. Plus the noise outside from the cleaning crew wouldn't let you sleep much anyway.
So you would have to pay for a second night to be able to stay as late as you wanted.

We have stayed off the 95 many places, but not in SC. We use the roomsaver books along the way along with the website coupons printed pre trip. They list hotels by highway so you could look up the SC ones off the 95 to get an idea of where to stay. We typically pick Marriott chain hotels. Nothing too cheap! Kind of scary sometimes.

We once stayed at the Hilton off the 95 in RI and they gave us a late check out of 2pm the following day after we checked in at 7 am! They looked at it as an early check in, not a late check out. I think if you called the hotel directly you might get a good arrangement if it's not too busy the time you stay.

Ewww. Now it just looks like a rat infested pit! Florence is good, so is Walterboro, Plenty of places just pick the chain you like.
