Hotels Near Universal

Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent offsite hotel near Universal - preferably a suite hotel - for a family of 5? Thanks!

We have stayed at the Staybridge Suites on I-Drive and it had a full kitchen, evening reception on T,W,TH and free breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay there. We are going in October (I have a conference) and we will hopefully be renting a condo at Vista Cay which is a bit farther away on I-Drive but close to the convention center.

I have stay at Hawthorne Suites last year on Canada Avenue. It was clean and offer free breakfast morning. It was quick and fast to get US every morning two. I was there in under 10 minutes I think.

The hotel has Orlando Magic Card rate for 99.00 dollars a night.

Not sure if they have suites but we stayed at the Sheraton Studio City and loved it! Its half a mile from US/IOA. We had a room on the top floor and could see the park from where we were.

We are meeting up with Family (for 3 nights) who will be staying at the SpringHill Suites Orlando Convention Center/International Drive for a few nights until they head over to DVC Old Key West. Our visit is in 2 weeks so if you would like to know how it is there I would be happy to let you know.
I believe they said it was 3 miles from Universal Studios---that's where we are going for 2 days (sorry Mickey).
