Hotels near Garenwalk

I am starting to plan our next trip for sometime between November and February. I am trying to picture what hotels are near the garden walk and how far it is from Disneyland. Last time we stayed at HOJO's and the walk was fine to DL but I think it would be a bit much from what I understand to the garden walk. thanks

The Anaheim Plaza Hotel is right in front of it. There is also a Ramada across the street and the Castle Inn and Suites next door.

Hi there, You are in luck the same ART bus that serves HOJO actually goes by Garden Walk.

Going to DL the ART's last stop is HOJO. Now here is the lucky part. Pick-up at DL takes your bus past Garden Walk ( Bus stop is across the street from Cheesecake Factory). To go home get on same bus you took to get there.

We've stayed twice at the Super 8 on Katella which is right next to gardenwalk. Both trips were for 2 days and we walked to the parks and back with no problems. It probably took us about 15-20 minutes. We had 4 kids with us (13, 10, 4, 3) and one 60+ year old. The 2 littlest kids were in strollers though. If I were going to be there more than 3 days I think the walk would be too far. It was fine for 2 days and I think i could have managed the walk for a 3rd day but I don't think I would want to walk it every day of an extended trip.

I don't think the Hojo to Garden Walk, trek is so bad. Probably only something you would make once on your trip.


If you look up in hotels.com, and search the location "Disney's California Adventure" it will display all the hotels on Harbor across from the park entrance first. This will give you a good idea of your options.

We have stayed at the Residence Inn Maingate several times. It is right behind Gardenwalk. The rooms are like townhouse apts. 8 units to a section. Some are studdios which are the smallest. One Queen bed, living room with a pullout sleeper and fireplace, small dining area and full kitchen. We have recently stayed in the family suites which have a seperate master suite and bath upstairs, downstairs seperate room with bunk beds and another bath, living room with a pullout sleeper, dining table and full kitchen. They offer a hot fresh cooked buffet breakfast every morning (It was really busy I just brought a bunch of food back to our rooms.)and an evening reception with snacks and lemonade. One night a week (I think it was Weds.) they BBQ burgers and hotdogs along with the fixings potato salad, green salad, and chips. For a large family this can be quite a savings. It was a fair walk to Disney. We mainly used the ART, but did walk about 3x just for convenience. As for the Garden walk maybe I missed something, but when we were there (March) it looked deserted with only a few shops and food court type places open. We did see the Cheesecake Factory but did not eat there. Really though I was really disappointed as I expected a big mall like the Block at Orange. HTH

hojo to garden walk is not a bad walk.. its not long... or maybe i am thinking that street is shorter. they have a ramada near garden walk . but i dont trust any other hotel other then hojo!

yeah garden walk is no the extreme outdoor mall like block at orange.. the block is HUGE!!!!!!!!

thanks everyone - the map helps. Now if we could just decide when to go. I know February is when we always need to get away from the cold and dark up here but November is SO much closer!
