Hotels near Amway Center?

My family and I will be at WDW then the day after we will be going to a concert at the Amway Center and need a place to stay for that one night.
We were looking at the Sheraton in Downtown Orlando or Four Points Sheraton in Orlando.
If anyone has heard of these two hotels or has stayed at them please let me know your thoughts on them
Also if you know of any other hotels near the Amway Center that you would recommend please tell me!

when you say Four Points Sheraton, do you mean this one, the one on I-Drive?

If so, that is not next to the Amway Center. It is not too far, but you will have a commute. That is just north of Sand Lake Blvd, it is near Wet & Wild. That part of I-Drive can be a bit shady. There have been several crimes reported there, such as car break in's, getting robbed in the parking lots and hotel room invasions. I am not too fond of that section of I-Drive. I know many people stay in that area, but I try not to unless I cannot get a room anywhere else. I cannot comment on the other Sheraton, but being it is near the Amway, I would guess that is not in a great area either. That area tends to have a higher crime rate than down by Lake Buena Vista area. That is just my observations and opinions..

There is the Grand Bohemian Orlando, Embassy Suites Orlando - Downtown and Crowne Plaza Orlando-Downtown.

Both the Sheraton and Four Points are not that close to the new Amway Center. I would suggest the Grand Bohemian which is just two blocks away. I was part of their opening team, so I am a bit biased, but it is the best hotel in Downtown by far...

Another recommendation for the Grand Bohemian. Great hotel that is an easy walk to the Amway Center. Plus, if you're a Marriott Rewards member you can use/get points there as it is now a part of Marriott's Autograph Collection.
