Hotels in West Virginia on way to Orlando?

We are going to WDW in March but going to Savannah for 2 days first. We always take I-75 but since we are going to Savannah first we will be taking I-77. We will be leaving Windsor at about 5:30 PM so I figure we should be stopping for the night in West Virginia (or somewhere close)? Does anyone have any recommendations of where we should stay along the I-77. Is there an abundance of hotels like on I-75 or should we book before we leave? I don't even know where to be looking (which cities) etc. Plus I don't want to accidently book a room in a bad area or a nasty hotel etc. I'm not sure where to post this but if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
