Hotels in or near Montreal?

hello fellower diss-ers!

I normally lurk around the buidget board but thought that you all could help me with this inquiry. DH, DD9 and I are going to be heading up to Montreal at the end of Feb. We want to take a tour of hte ice hotel as well as see the sites. We will probably be there for 4 days. Are there any hotels in the area that any of you would recommend?

this is an unplanned trip so we are tyring to do it fairly inexpensively. any help is appreciated.

The ice hotel is not in Montreal but Quebec City

yes, the ice hotel is in Quebec City (well just outside)but if you still need Montreal hotel info let me know and I'll help you out. Actually I've been to Quebec City a ton of times and can give you recommendations for hotels there too

If you go to sweetspot.ca and click on Montreal, there are some archives there that might be helpful ("What's Happening"). When we went, my faves were the Jardin Botanique and the cathedral. For the botanical garden we went during Magic Lanterns (night time) and for the cathedral we saw the show at night. HTH! Have fun!
