Does anyone know any nice, CLEAN hotels in Alpharetta, Ga?

I am taking dd7 to the american girl store for her bday in August so I would like something very close to the Northpoint mall.

I have never been, is this a safe area?

Also, anyone know any coupon codes to get a good deal?

Thank you for any tips/advice!!:)

Hi! Alpharetta is a very nice area. But the mall does get the usual car break ins most malls are known for. We just went American Girl on Monday and you all will have a great time. As for hotels, I am not sure what you are thinking as inexpensive. But...

The Residence Inn Northpoint Mall is in the parking lot of that mall. There is a Hyatt Place less than half a mile down Northpoint Parkway. And there is a Country Inn and Suites around the corner. There is also a Fairfield and Extended Stay on Haynes Bridge just north of the mall.

Hope this helps you!

Oh, you MUST stay at the Marriott. They have a special American Girl Package. IMHO, its worth the money. We took my daughter for her 7th birthday. We had lunch at the AG store, then spent the night at the Marriott. The hotel was filled with little girls and their dolls. The room we stayed in had pink sheets, towels, lamps, etc. They had a robe for my dd and her doll to wear. They sent up AG star shaped cookies and milk for a snack. They even had a special VIG check-in, Very Important Girl, where my dd got to check into the hotel-the person at the desk was very good with the kids. She also got a bed for her doll that she got to keep. She still talks about that trip being her favorite. And the rate also include breakfast for 4 in am.

(the next night, we stayed at the Buckhead Hyatt Place for $36 via Priceline so we could check out the Atlanta Aquarium).

Here's a link with more info about the package:

No, its not far at all. Its just down the street. Its very easy to find.

Also, if you plan to eat at the AG store, you need to make a ressie pretty far out, or at least you did 2 years ago. :)

I'm sorry the package wasn't available for your dates :( We took DD last fall and loved it, we also got a second room with a Nickelodeon package for the boys. Everyone was very happy. Actually, I'd recommend the hotel even without the package. She should still get to do the check in (it appeared to me to be a permanent feature at the desk) and the hotel is super nice and extremely clean. You will be seeing PLENTY of American Girl there :)

Also, our rooms came with a free breakfast at their in hotel restaurant. I wasn't expecting much, being as it was free, but it was wonderful. The food was good and there was a nice selection, also the staff was wonderful with DD and totally made over her and her doll.

FWIW, I would do the cheapest offering at the Bistro. The experience is good, the food less so. I think, at one time anyway, there was a tea that was fairly inexpensive. DD and I did the lunch and it wasn't $30 for two people food.....but she was in her element so I figured I paid $30 for her to be *in* the Bistro, the subpar food was a bonus LOL

You will have so much fun! DD and I have done Atlanta and Chicago, it looks like we will get to do Chicago, again, on her birthday this year. We are trying to scheme a way to get to the one in LA

Thanks! I may call the hotel tomorrow. The pkg wasn't available online but they may have some available if I call. I am really looking forward to this! She is going to have a blast!

We stayed at the La Quinta around Christmas time. It is the parking lot and for a not fancy hotel it was grea and was nice and cheap. The room had just been redone. We live nearby and DS just enjoys hotels so it was a treat for him. The breakfast was also delicious, standard morning breakfast at hotels but I enjoy the waffles.

The area is nice, no need to be concerned.
