Hotels getting a lick of paint

Don't know if anyone else who has been recently noticed this?

Santa Fe was definitely newly painted (rooms and exterior) when we went last week and the Seqouia had very large white sheets draped over the front of it, the parts that didn't have sheets over them looked incredibly sparkly and newly varnished....Newport Bay also looking whiter than white....

when we were there in Jan the seqouia was having new carpets layed on the corridors,our room also had a new carpet so figured a makeover was in progress

This sounds really good. We are staying at S Lodge for the first time in July and really looking forward to it. We've been to the bar several times whilst staying at different hotels but really like the look of this one.

Are all the hotels getting refurbished? I'm going to the Cheyenne in October and hoping it will be all brand new!!!

Good news on Sequoia Lodge, it was definately one of the things I noticed and mentioned from our stays last year, a lot of chipped paint and worn looking woodwork and tile grout. Nice to hear they are sorting it out.
