Which Universal hotels can accomodate a family of 5. Ages of kids 18,15 and 10? Thanks so much AGAIN. :goodvibes

You have a few choices. The deluxe rooms at the Hard Rock have two queen beds and a pull out couch (full size). Most deluxe rooms at the Portofino also have two queens and a pullout out (this one is a twin sized bed though). You can also book a suite at the Portofino. They would have two queens and a full pull out in the parlor.

Hey I looked at the hotel web sites...looks like the Portofino Bay has the largest rooms. I wonder how the Royal Pacific rooms compare to Disney Mod. rooms square footage wise??

We've fit 5 in a standard room at HRH with a roll-away. Probably could do it a RPR but I believe the rooms are a little smaller

According to the Universal website the rooms at RPR are 335 square feet.

Doesn't each hotel have a pull out sofa?? Why didyou get the roll away?

The rollawy beds cost extra ($25 a night)..

With that in mind go for a suite!! You will have alot more leg room!!

335sq.ft is more then you think tho..

Each hotel does not have a pull out sofa.

At the Royal Pacific, the only rooms with pull out sofas are standard king rooms and king suites.

At Hard Rock, the only rooms with pull outs are deluxe queen, deluxe king and king suites.

At the Portofino, the only rooms with pull outs are deluxe king and queen and the suites.

Oh thanks.............I will check these out then.

We are bringing a twin size blow up mattress for our 3rd child from what I have read several people have done that. It's easier to get out of the way than a role a way bed and it's free! (well after you buy it lol)

Well, now I'm wondering what we stayed in last Dec. We had a king room on the club floor and the sofa was a pull out. Or are you not referring to club rooms?

When I was making our room arrangements I was emailing back and forth w/ a lady at the HRH. This is part of the email she sent me:

Laurie,

My apologies for not responding to your last email. I did upgrade you to a club deluxe king room, and there is an additional charge. Unfortunately I can not tell you the charge right now because my system is down. Again, I want to remind you that the couch in the club deluxe rooms are not pull-outs. However, the non-club deluxe king rooms do have pull-outs. Did you want your room to be a smoking room? Please advise.

Thanks....If we stay there then we would need the Deluxe queen room category.

We are a family of five also, and with a 16YO,13YO and 10YO, we are getting the Deluxe Double Queen at the HRH, becauae it has 500 sq ft...we need the space for the two older daughter's 'stuff'...

if you stayed at an universal hotel or off site hotel, you would have 3 adults and 2 kids.

the age cut off for children is 17.

at universal, there is a $25 fee per night for any adult past the first 2 in your room.

add $25 a night for the extra 18 year old adult.

That's good to know! I was totally unaware that the club arrangements were different.
