Hotels at Port

Just wanted to let everyone know the results of my search for a hotel in Port Canaveral. Unfortunately the Radisson is booked for the night we need it so I had to look elsewhere. Thanks to Dave and his site I checked pretty much all the hotels that offered free parking.

The best deal is:

Quality Suites
3655 N Atlantic

It offers free parking for the week, free shuttle to and from the port and free continental breakfast. Got a suite for $71. If anyone has stayed there before please let me know how it is.

The rest of the hotels offer a cruise package with free parking but some do charge a shuttle fee or do not have one at all. If anyone wants specific prices for the other hotels please PM me.

I will be sure to let everyone know how our stay was when we return.

A note about the Quality Suites, since I haven't updated my site yet since Shirley called the manager...

The parking and shuttle package are actually at the Radisson. The Radisson and the Quality Suites have the same owner. You'll have to drive to the Radisson (not a problem) to park and use their shuttle.

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal!

Nice to know. Thanks Dave!! We were planning on driving everyone to the port and have DH drop us off and return the car and pick up the shuttle. Makes it more convenient at the Radisson. Feel safer about leaving the car there too.

Do you know anything about the Quality Suites. We got such a great deal I was worried about it. The $71 is for a Suite with ocean view (booked online). A lot less than the other hotels around there. It is actually $20 more expensive to book it over the phone. Shirley gave me the name of the manager of both places.

you are right on it buddy about the Quality Suites and they are owned by the same person that owns the Radisson - now he is also building another motel right next to Ron Jon's - this one should be finished in about another 3 months or so - don't know the name or when they will be opened for business, but mostly likely will do the same with the shuttle as they do at Quality Suites. Best part it is close to everything - also I understand a Walgreen's is going up close to Race Trac in Cape Canaveral - as soon as I found out that detail will keep you informed.

I don't think we have to worry about that, we don't talk about piercings, tattoos or strange color hair!
