which hotel residence inn convention center or homewood suites convention? We are just two adults. Always have stayed at GCH or DLH but cant justify the price to hubbie anymore.

Residence Inn Convention Center is nice! DH stayed there for work and it was nice, new, clean, free breakfast, and he said the rooftop views were great

I love the homewood suites. But the walk is a bit much. If you can get a good room rate I'd do that and uber. Since we have kids, we can't uber. The room rate is too high for us unless we're there for a week.
My sis and I are staying at the BWPPI. Yes, it's a motel but we have a very short trip and we don't want to waste any of our vacation walking down harbor. Plus we wouldn't take advantage of homewood suites evening social since we're there on a weekend. LOL Park Vue inn is another nice motel. Camelot inn was good but they have no breakfast.
You may also check into Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance. It's a hotel but I think it's closer than Homewood.

I stayed at the Residence Inn Convention Center for work last year and I really liked it. Huge breakfast buffet in the morning. Very nice rooftop pool. (It's not close to the awesomeness of the DLH pools, but still nice.) We're planning to stay there again when we go in September. I definitely recommend it.

My mother-in-law is a loyal Marriott customer and really likes that Residence Inn. My brother loved that Homewood. He complained a lot about the Homewood walk though whereas my in-laws were ok with the Residence Inn walk.
