Hotel???

Well, those are all in Kissimmee, which isn't close to SeaWorld at all. So my feedback is, look for a hotel closer to the park.

Thinking of doing Sea World 1 day on our drive down to Florida for our Disney trip....
does anyone have any input on any of these hotels:

any input would be great!!!!!!!!!

I'm assuming you want a hotel closer to Disney since that where the majority of your trip will be spent. Like the poster above said, those hotels are further from Seaworld than Disney but it's not THAT far of a drive. Maybe 10 minutes, 15 minutes at most during heavy traffic.

With that said, the nicest place to stay would be the Gaylord Palms. But its extremely expensive. It's pretty much a resort.

Holiday INN Maingate east would be my 2nd choice.... http://www.visitkissimmee.com/leisu..._crm?id=202&name=Comfort-Suites-Maingate-East

Its in a somewhat secluded area and is right off 192 which has a ton of shops and things to do. The good thing about it is that, like I said, its in a secluded area and not right on the edge of 192 so hearing traffic at night shouldn't be a concern. You may face that noisy traffic at night issue if you choose some of those other hotels which are also on 192. There is also a cool pirate themed mini golf place right within walking distance of the Maingate East. So that could be something to do if you have a little extra time at night after your Disney or Seaworld visit. Old Town would be another area within walking distance. Old Town is a thrill park and has some cool thrill rides and interesting shops, however I find Old Town to be pretty dirty and wouldn't be a place I would want my young kids to visit if I had kids. Theres alot of smoking, and drunks, and just plain creepy people who hang out around Old Town.

Thanks for the info!!! if its 10 or 15 mins. from the park that's not too bad, we can live w/that....its only for 1 night anyway because our main trip is Disney.

I'm certainly no expert on SeaWorld since I am just planning our first trip there myself. However, I did find a good deal on a package on the seaworld.com website. We're staying at one of their partner hotels and they are offering the dinning plan free. It works out to be much cheaper for our group of 5.

I was pricing them out myself, i'll have to redo the math, thank you!!!

We are staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel for two nights on our way to Universal and then Disney. It is next door to SEAWORLD and across the street from the Seaworld water Park. Can't remember the name. We are in a tower room for only $54.00 a night!! Fabulous rates for August 22 and 23!.
Phone # is 407-352-1100. Give them a try--can't beat the rates for a 4* Hotel.

Holy cow. How did you get that rate? We are headed down about that same timeframe next summer. Is Doubletree a regular hotel or do they have bedrooms w/kitchens? I'm really leaning toward the Hilton Grand so we have a kitchen and laundry.
