We are considering a weekend in NF and looking at the embassy suites. has anyone stayed her and have comments.
What other hotels have you stayed at. We are doing a mini celebration, so we like the 2 room suite for us and the kids. any suggestions

My family and I stayed in the Marriott hotel on the Canada side. It was wonderful! Best yet, we booked our room on priceline.com and got a awesome deal. It was probably a once in a lifetime deal, but really made the trip worth it.

Hope this helps and you enjoy your trip to Niagra Falls! Don't forget to do the Maid of the Mist.

View from our room and the view (not our picture, but looked the same)

We haven't stayed at the Embassy Suites, but passed through the lobby area on our way to The Keg restaurant located in the hotel. Seemed nice, and as always The Keg was fantastic with a great view of the Falls.

We've stayed several times at the Hilton Fallsview across from the Fallsview Casino. The top floor dining room offers great views.

Never stayed at the Embassy Suites, but if you're planning a celebration that includes your kids, it might be fun to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge. Granted, the GWL has no view of the Falls from your room, but its a very short drive to the Falls area, the suites are absolutely lovely (some with fireplaces, lofts, etc.). Add in the fact that the waterpark is as much fun for the grown-ups as it is for the kids, and its a great choice this time of year. :thumbsup2 . If you're planning on staying before Christmas, the Great Wolf offers some fun holiday stuff too, like sleigh rides.

thanks we did check out GWL but the prices are crazy for 1 night, and was told weekends are 2 nights which would hurt our budget. Plus my youngest is not crazy about the water slides so i doubt it would be worth while. Figure we could do more stuff around the falls. I checked into the Embassy but they do not include parking or internet both are extra.

The marriot looks good, but i would like to get the 2 room suite similar to the embassy suites.

Apparently this is a fairly new hotel and has two room suites. One bedroom with a king bed and a living room with a queen pull out sofa. I was booked there for over the American Thanksgiving weekend but just cancelled it. The rate was $109.00. It is located on Centre Street!! HTH. :thumbsup2

I have stayed at the Embassy Suites & several other hotels in Niagara incl. the Marriott, The Fallsview Casino hotel, the Best Western, The Sheraton, The Doubletree, Courtyard by Marriott...
The Embassy Suites is a nice hotel & I would thoroughly recommend it for a family as the suites are huge! We had 4 adult women staying in 1 suite & there was plenty of room & we got upgraded to a fallsview w/ a whirlpool when we got there.
The Marriott I found to be a nicer hotel but is not as large & I really think you would feel cramped in the room with a family. We stayed in the a suite there w/ a sep. living room, sep. bedroom, fireplace, whirlpool, just so you know we weren't comparing it to a standard room.
Also the breakfast at the Embassy Suites is amazing. A HUGE selection & everything is incl. and it is in the Keg restaurant so you have a view of the falls while eating your breakfast. So nice.

I love the Embassy Suites NF. I have stayed there 5 times. The breakfast buffet is so good. I always book a package thru travelzoo to included $45 at The Keg and breakfast and shuttle passes for around $125 CDN +tax. We always go in the winter months. We took the kids once and have gone the two of us, 3 times. I also took my boys with a girlfriend and her boys last march break. The Keg has amazing view of the falls. It is so pretty at night.

When we took our kids, my parents also joined us. We had the 6 of us in one suite. We had lots of room!

We use to stay at The Courtyard. It is a nice hotel. But they do not have a view of the falls. So for the same price we go to Embassy Suites.

I wish I was going.:upsidedow

Enjoy your stay!
Niki

ok i am decided on the Embassy suites for this weekend. We do not have the shuttle package, so will it be far to walk to the hotel from Lundy's lane? We really will be around the falls, and a bite on Lundy's lane.

Does anyone have any idea where the Winter light display starts and stop? Is it in a park to drive through or a walking area. Sorry i have never been there.

But i am glad that we do the Breakfast at the Keg in the morning :goodvibes
