Hotel suggestions outside of Universal Hollywood

We'll be looking to stay outside of Universal Hollywood for our visit there. Any suggestions on nice places to stay? Looking for clean and convenient. Also, do any of them offer shuttle service to the park. Thanks!!

We liked staying at the Hilton across from universal it was clean, convenient and the staff was awesome. They also offer a shuttle.

I'm planning to stay in downtown Burbank. The prices in the immediate area around Universal were just too high for me to justify for quality of hotel offerings.
