Hotel suggestion near Convention Center

In November, I have to attend the annual NAEYC teacher conference that will be held at the Orlando (Orange County) Convention Center. My school hasn't mentioned any details about the recommended hotels yet, but I want to plan ahead and maybe get my own room and ask my mom to join me.

For those of you who know the location of the Convention Center (9800 International Drive), do you have a convenient hotel suggestion? Sadly, I think Animal Kingdom Lodge is out this trip.
