Hi, I was wondering if people could tell me what sites they use for room only rate?
I found good rates on hotels4u but I know I'm better off comparing as many as possible.

Thanks in advance

I look at the following for room only different Expedia (as I've noticed differences in the € price between them), hotel.com, booking.com, venere, hotelscombined, ebookers, alpharooms etc etc

As many as I can find or think of and then the specialist ones for each country/continent like the Australian sites when we are looking at Asia ..not that helps you for DLP but there you go :rotfl:

Thanks Carrie
Im going to be a busy bunny for a couple of hours :goodvibes

Hotelscombined shows several sites at once if that helps ;)

You've also got http://www.trivago.fr/ that does that too, they don't seem to have an english version which is odd as they do loads of other EU languages

Agoda is another site I check on a bit but most times I contact the hotels directly if they are a chain and get them to price match. Most do even if they don't publicize it :)

Alpharooms is coming in €30 cheaper on MC, €15 cheaper on DC and at €213 for Thomas Cooks Explorer hotel for 3 nights midweek in January as opposed to Hotels Combined which was the 2nd cheapest website. Expedia and Hotels rates were ridiculous.

Thanks Elaine, alpharooms are still out ahead!
:thumbsup2
think its time for a poll re: offsite. Too many options and the pool looks nicer in DC but the rooms look nicer in MC.

What dates and room configurations are you after and I'll have a look on the French ones.

You nevre know we might get an even better deal

the rooms in the MC and DC are very similar because they are owned by the same company (ie the furniture is the same, just a different finish/bedding etc).

 so thats why the prices are mostly the exact same for both! They must be making a mint!
MC just looks nicer IMO but its so hard to base things on Trip Advisor pics.
