Hotel Scam?

Just booked the Comfort inn Universal thru TravelZoo.com at 39.00 & got email confirmation. Then I got an email from Choice Hotels(Comfort Inn) with a different res # and saying our rate was 74.99! Called Choice & they said that the 39.00 rate is not valid. Has anyone heard of a similar problem. Help!

who was the first confirmation e-mail from? from travelzoo? do they have an 800 number for you to call? this sounds like a glitch somewhere that might need a phone call to clear up. don't worry though--even if they don't honor your great rate, you can cancel and won't have to pay the higher rate. you can dispute through your credit card and your first e-mail is all the evidence you should need to have the charge removed.

That is really weird because Travelzoo is usually pretty good to depend on. Let us know how i works out.
