Ok Here is the scoop; I can get the Royal Plaza DTD for $528.59(including tax) for the Easter Break week for 8 nights. This includes a deluxe Tower room with a king size bed...

This comes out to be $66 a night including tax, whatcha all think? Is this a good deal for the HRP.

Tell me about this Hotel please (search is down).

I also have the Coronado booked for only 7 nights for $116 (incl tax) per night coming to $812.00 for 7 nights.

So, the Royal Plaza is about $300 less and I get an extra night, king size bed, balcony, and the pullout loveseat for my son
BUT
CSR has EE and and great bus service (we do have a car though and are AP holders)...HELP!

Tell me what you know please!

Thanks!

Hotel Royal Plaza is a good deal.

Hi Emme,

We stayed at the Royal Plaza from Dec. 20-26. We were very pleased with the hotel. We had a room with 2 double beds. It was bright, clean and the bathroom is huge!

We used the buses and had no problems. We also had a car and only used it once to go to the Cape May Cafe for dinner on Christmas Eve.

I would stay there again. If you have any questions, just let me know.

I have never stayed and the Coronado. We have stayed on previous visits at Dixie Landings, Caribbean Beach and All-Sports, Sheraton Lakeside and what now is called Days Inn in the village.

Have a GREAT time!:earsgirl:

I found the deal on Travel Zoo yesterday, and I can't find it today. I was just going to post and ask if anyone knew how to find it? It was 3 nights at something like $79 with the 4th night free thru the end of April. The pool side rooms for watching our son swim sounded perfect and now I'm so disappointed that I can't find it...argh...help please? Thanks!

We got the deal for our trip this past Christmas (Dec. 20-26). If it's off the Travelzoo site, it's probably not available at this time. When I made our reservation, I called the hotel and asked for the Travelzoo deal. They don't volunteer the info. You have to ask for it. It can't hurt to call. 800-248-7890 They usually have time periods for the deal. If you're not going for a while and during slower times, keep an eye on travelzoo. I've seen it on the site numerous times.

Good Luck!!:earsgirl:

Just Back Hotel Royal Plaza
Just back from a great vacation, this hotel was perfect for us. We checked in on June 9 and stayed for 5 nights. I was impressed with our King Suite with whirlpool tub that two can fit in, with a separate shower. The room was nice an spacious, with a living room area, wet bar, stocked fridge, safe. My girlfriend and me had plenty of room. We were on the 12th floor facing DTD; we could see PI & IllumiNations fireworks from our balcony. The balcony was standing room only, but still a nice view. This hotel was nice and clean, the pool was like a L shape, plus a nice whirlpool, no kiddy pool, they also have a pool bar lots of sunbathing chairs, plenty of towels, nice fitness center, also I was impressed with the Disney store there. The CM working in this store was very helpful with information. They have a nice lounge with 4 pool tables, dartboards, video games, and jukebox.

I think it was really setup nice. I’m not saying this is the best hotel I have stayed at, but for $99 for a King Suite, I think I got a good deal. I don’t recommend this hotel for small children; I think it’s set up more for couples. The bus system worked fine, it was always on time, never had a problem with it. The walk to DTD about 10 Min and I am in good walking shape, but still not a bad walk for most people. I have been racking my brain trying to come up with something negative about this trip. Would I stay there again? Perhaps, but I would probably want to try somewhere different. In conclusion, I have heard mixed reviews about this place. I stayed in a tower suites so can’t comment on any other rooms.I would like to thank all of you on helping me plan my perfect vacation.

Good day

Thanks a bunch Cdamico! We'd like to go at the end of April so I'll keep watching. I'd rather make our reservation closer to that time anyway since they required a non refundable deposit
for that deal.

I read that the pool side rooms have a little patio with a table and four chairs only 8 to 10 feet away from the pool, so I thought it would be perfect with a child, if we could get one.

Kcarp, thanks so much for the helpful info! You say it's more for couples, so I'll have to check that out, but dh and I kind of enjoy getting away from the whole Disney crazy family stuff like we experienced at All Star Movies, so it still might be good for us.

Good luck deciding Emme!
