Hotel room while cruising

We are going on our cruise a couple of days in to our stay at disney pop and i just wanted to ask do you inform the hotel that you will not be their for a few days or not?

We did at Best Western Lakeside a few years back, we didn't want them going in every day seeing it untouched wondering where we were, thought it was better letting them know. Last thing you want is a police search

It id best to inform the hotel crew that you will be out for a couple of days more so that they are aware that your whereabouts. And that is better to do so for your safety and also they will know that your other thing are still in their premises.

Well the PPs have already given what I feel is the right advice by saying you should inform the hotel.

But can I ask why you have it booked over the cruise period at all rather than 2 bookings with a gap during the cruise?

I booked the hotel as a package then decided to have a cruise for a few days.

We booked ours as a package also when we left an empty room for a week. Cost us under £600 each with VH for flights and 21 nights hotel, it was as cheap as flight only so better to leave room empty.

Tht was a good price!! I was wondering the same thing as jharrowell but know the answer now. Im bookin okw b4 the cruise free ddp then after dvc without the ddp so they can hv our luggage.

Tht was a good price!!

It was a few years ago now(Oct 05) but it included coming home end of Oct half term so a really good price.
