Ok - so we're looking to book into the Disneyland Hotel at the start of December for a few nights. It's a delayed anniversary celebration for us (our 1st year and we're just about to sign the DVC paperwork - I think it's serious!!) - so we'd like to make the break as special as possible.

Thank you to everyone on another thread who gave me lots of suggestions - they are well and truely stored in my planning book.....the thing I would like some advice on if you can help is booking our room!!

Can anyone recommend specific parts of the hotel or rooms to request for when booking? Anyone find a particlar room slightly more romantic or better than standard? I know there are all sorts of suites but I think they will be too costly....

Just a wonder really....thank you to all in advance :)

Hi Melanie,
All rooms at the DL hotel are great. But i'd have to say if you can streach to a "standard" room in the catle club area it will definitely add some magic to your trip. Hubbie an i stayed there in Mar 2006 and we had a great time. Our room looked out over the gardens at the front of the hotel and the castle club lounge was worth its weight in gold for afternoon tea / hot chocolate ;) .

If not and it's just the two of you then be sure to request a room with a king size bed. We did this in Mar 2003 and we had a huge room. I'm not too sure if we were lucked out and we got something out of the norm but the room was great and it had a day bed too :hippie: . The room number on that one was 3123.

If you have any more questions about castle club or the Disneyland hotel in general fire away .

Mickeyetta.

Thank you so much for the info!! We are going to enquire about the castle club rooms but not get our hopes up about it incase we can't (we're using DVC points to book so not sure we'll be able to....). But the details of the normal room sounds great too!!
