:cool1: This morning I managed to get some tickets to see Peter Kay next May. (Shhh, it's a secret, I got them for dh for christmas)

I am planning that we stay over for the night as it's too far to travel home afterwards, so I thought i'd ask you guys for some help with regards to hotels. Are there any nice one's within a short walk to the MEN?

Also how far is it from the MEN to the Trafford center as we may go shopping the next day before coming home. We will be driving so I just wanted an idea of how far apart they are.

Thanks in advance. :flower3:

i managed to get 2 tickets to on friday the 14th may, then realised its
my daughters first communion on the saturday 15th may. ahh

going to need to try and swap tickets if i can, im so gutted, kept
trying to get another 2 but no luck as yet.

Hey Claire,

Well done on getting tickets, we have some also for Friday April 30th :cool1:

There's plenty hotels in Manchester City Centre (where the arena is). Some you could try:

Crowne Plaza City Centre
Britannia Sachas
Park Inn Manchester Victoria

Then there's the usual, travel lodges like the Premier Inn's, Comfort Inn's and the Ibis etc.

With regards to the Trafford Centre, it's not actually in the centre of the city. It's over on Trafford Park, which is approximately a 10-15 minute drive (if traffic is behaving itself!) It's free parking over at the Trafford Centre too, so there's no need to worry about that either :goodvibes

Hope you manged to swap your tickets Binkytell.

Thanks Rachel, glad you managed to get tickets too. :thumbsup2 We are going on the 4th May, it took about an hour to get the tickets this morning I was so relieved when he released all the extra dates as the first 4 dates had sold out by 8.02am and my internet browser just kept telling me I was in a queue! :scared:

I have spent pretty much all day checking out the hotels around the MEN & some were already fully booked. I saw the Park Inn Victoria that you mentioned, they were only showing 3 double rooms available so I tried contacting my sister as I got her & BIL tickets too, to see if she wanted me to book two rooms but couldn't get hold of her so I just did it anyway as it was reasonably priced compared to the others. (Spoke to her just now, she was thankful.)

Do you know if there is parking near the hotel as they don't have a car park onsite.

Thanks for the info on the Trafford Centre. :thumbsup2

I believe the car parks around that area are all NPC car parks. At the moment I can't seem to find a specific one nearby the hotel, but I do know that there are some.

Looking at the Park Inn website, they have this e-mail (info.manchester-victoria@rezidorparkinn.com) which you could contact them with and ask about close by car parks :)

I'll keep a look out for you :) I'm glad you managed to sort a hotel though :thumbsup2

P.S Sorry if I shouldn't have posted the e-mail, please feel free to remove it if it's not allowed :)

Thanks Rachel. :)

Sorry I assumed you knew the area. I am not too worried as it did say car parking nearby. :thumbsup2
