Hotel recommendation in general Anaheim area?

Can anyone local recommend a hotel in the general DL area?

We will be flying in on a Friday, and (hopefully) checking into GCV on Saturday morning. We just need a clean, reasonably priced (or cheap!) place to sleep Friday night. It does not have to be real close to DL, just the general area. We are flying in from the east coast, so we will be tired Friday anyway.

My family stayed at the Ayres hotel when visiting some friends and not going to Disneyland. They thought it was a very nice hotel. I remember seeing some good rates when first looking at the DL area, but not sure if they're still a good buy.
