Hotel REALLY Close to HHI Resort

We are heading to HHI the first week of June and we may have some family join us. I called and there aren't any studios available and no rooms to book for cash. Can you think of any hotels that are really, really close to the HHI resort? Most of the ones that I can think of are several miles away.

There's a Days Inn just a little south of the Disney resort, and there are several really nice hotels on the ocean in Palmetto Dunes which is the gated community that houses the Disney beach house. You might also consider a villa rental in Palmetto Dunes. You usually get more space for your money that way.

I zoomed in on Google Maps.

According to that, the Palmetto Dunes, then Marriott's Harbour Point and Sunset Pointe at Shelter Cove, and then the Days Inn are the closest. Looks like there's a Red Roof Inn down a bit more.

I'd try waitlisting because you never know it just may come through, you've got over 2 months time for that to happen. Or Hilton Resort, Crowne Plaza Resort, Marriott Beach Resort and Westin; all 4 are on the beach. Westin is furthest from Disney's HHI resort in Port Royal Plantation, closest to Disney resort is Hilton which is in Palmetto Dunes where Disney beach house is, Crowne Plaza is bit further south in Shipyard & Marriott Beach. When we travel to HHI instead of using up points for first day late arrival ( or if Disney resort isn't available) we bid resort level on priceline and if bid is accepted you will get one of the above resorts; it's well worth it but you must be 100% sure of dates you want because once bid gets accepted credit card gets charged immediately and there is no cancelling. Maybe we've just been lucky but we've always had bid accepted and at half price or less of what the hotel's website pricing lists for same dates.

Thanks for all the great tips! If they come, we will probably try for Palmetto Dunes since it is so close to the property. We don't have any points left for the year to waitlist. Since they have changed the rules about posting, I am not sure how we would even find someone to waitlist them for us.
