Hotel rates question

Hi,

My partner and I have booked our flights to MCO for our first Florida trip (6th-17th May 2009).

I've got a question about hotel rates. We've narrowed down our hotel to either Crowne Plaza Universal or HRH for our first 5 nights. About a month ago both hotels had similar nightly rates, maybe HRH slightly more expensive. Steadily the Crowne Plaza has come down in price but HRH rates have not budged. Are HRH prices fixed? Is there any last minute bargains to be picked up with the HRH?

HRH will nearly always be more expensive than Crown Plaza.
The resort hotels at Universal i.e HRH-RPR & PBH had a special on if you had booked when you saw it was stay 5 pay for 3, which would have brought the price down, but i think that offer is of now. You could try Triple A rates , if you are a member of the AA here, you will need to call to get these, or even call reservations and ask what rates are available.
