I suppose it depends o what you want, if you would like to stay in walking distance from the Magic Kingdom then the Contemporary Resort is ideal however the Grand and Poly is a quick ride on the monarail. If you would like to have close proximity to all the parks then i think any of the EPCOT resorts are a good bet however they would need a bus ride to the parks. These would be the likes of Saratoga Springs; Old Key West. The Boardwalk and Yacht & Beach Club are ideal if you want easy access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios with list of bus connections to Disney Springs and Typhoon Lagoon.

But furthest from every. other. park. Magic Kingdom itself is remote from almost everything.
Deluxe: Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Dolphin, Swan are all walking distance from two more centrally located parks.
Moderate: Caribbean Beach

I would venture to say that the opening of the Magic Kingdom Parking booth Flyover has really changed the landscape for buses from Contemporary. It used to be that you had to either turn and go to Wilderness Lodge or turn and go past Polynesian. It is such a straight shot now that I would venture to say that the transit time from Contemporary is great as there are literally only 2 traffic lights now. One out of the parkinglot and the other at the intersection to turn to Wilderness Lodge.
