Hotel Parking Costs

Hi

I just found out that the Universal hotels charge their guests for parking. We didn't drive last time so I wasn't aware of this (and personally I think it is a little rediculous that they charge) but anyway, what is the daily rate for HRH? What is the valet rate?

Last August, I think it was $6 a day. I agree, it's ridiculous.

Self park is $7.00 +tax Per night

Valet is $14.00+tax Per night + tips

Whilst I dont agree with parking charges at hotels, I think you will find a lot of places do actually charge for it.

Disneyland hotels have a resort fee that includes your parking. Don't Disneyworld hotels also have a resort fee?

The Universal web site says that parking at the parks is $9.00 a day ($16.00 for valet), is the hotel parking rate different? Is the $7.00 that was listed above a current rate? Thanks for your response!!

just got back from rpr 5-22 5-27 they did not charge for parking, the girl who check us in said she would wave the fee, she was from the same town we were from , so its not like they have to charge you for parking it can be dropped, I would ask(beg) for free parking it wont hurt to ask,
we booked with aph rate of 139.00 and they didnt ask to see it, very nice girl

The parking fee bothers me too. It's not the money (though I'd certainly rather not pay it). It's the point that they are charging me extra for something that most people have to pay, yet no one tells you about the extra charge til you get to the front desk. It makes you wonder what else is going to cost you extra. Even though there were no more hidden costs, I spent my whole stay looking out for them - unnecessarily.
