Hi! I need some help from some Disneyland experts for a one-day visit to Disneyland.

Our plan is to drive to Anaheim from LA on Sunday, May 18th, check-in a nearby hotel and spend Monday at Disneyland. Then drive back to LA on Monday evening. First of all, we are a group of 3 adults and 3 children, so we need a mini-suite or 2 rooms. Secondly, since we will be visiting the park on our check-out day, we will need to park in the Disney parking instead our hotel, right? If that's the case then we don't need to be the closest accomodations? :confused3

So, now I'm searching for a hotel that is reasonably priced and close proximity to the parks but we don't need to be in walking distance. Any recommendations?

Also, about how much time should we allow to park and be at the DL gate for opening on Monday, May 19th?

TIA!

You could try using Hotwire or Priceline. You could get a really great deal on a hotel on a Sunday night since most people check out then. Just make sure you are aware of the going price for how ever many stars you want and bid well below it. You could get lucky and get a four star fro a great price! And the hotel might let you leave the car there since they are usually not full on a Sunday/Monday (but you would have to ask and they might not be able to tell you till that day).

You could try for the entertainment book deal at Hojo or the Desert Inn and Suites has 2 room suites and the Anabella and Carousel Inn and Suites are both nice. I am not sure what your budget is, but good luck!

It is best to be at the park gate 1/2 hour before opening, I have never used Disney parking so I don't know how long it takes, sorry. A Monday shouldn't be too crowded- have fun!

When we stayed at La Quinta we did not have to move our vehicle on the last day. We just packed it before heading into the park and came back to to hotel just to pick up the vehicle and drive home. So you may want to check on each hotel's policy. By the way, we were a group of 3 adults, 3 kids and had nice room there with 2 queens and a separate room with a pull-out couch. Cont breakfast. It's a couple blocks away. Not too bad.
