I am going to be flying (for the first time) into Orlando for a few days of R&R this summer. I know that I can stay at a Disney hotel at get around the property there by bus and monorail, etc. However, I don't imagine Disney has a shuttle that runs to Universal, Sea World, etc. - and vice-versa.

So let ask you this: Are there any non-WDW hotels that have frequent shuttle services that run to the major Orlando parks?

If you're only there for a few days, it is so much easier to stay at a Disney resort so that you have the ME from the airport, as well as the free Disney transportation. However, Disney does not provide transportation to any of the other Orlando parks. You could rent a car at one of the car rental places onsite at Disney and escape the World for a day or two :car:. I believe that there are locations outside of the MK parking lot and at the Swan/Dolphin resorts. Some rental companies will even bring the car to you at your resort.

If you stay off-site, your hotel may provide transportation to all of the parks, including Disney, but it won't be available at 20-minute intervals (give or take a few) like the Disney busses :sad2:. And, if you rent a car for the entire vacation and drive to the parks, you will also be paying parking fees. That's why we prefer to stay at a Disney resort. . . .

Good luck!

Yes there is the Mears Shuttle bus. It takes you from your hotel at Disneyworld and brings you to Sea World, Universal, Discovery Cove. It costs 18 dollars round trip. Well worth it. We have done it several times and have had no hassle. Ask the Concierge to help you set up the time you want to go and they can call for you. Good luck and enjoy your vacation. We are leaving in the morning for Disney an d are also going to Universal and Sea World...

Disney or the hotel will give you a phone for meats they have buses that leave Disney and take you to the different to other parks. Their prices are not bad. You could also use a taxi but too costly. good luck
