Hotel outside of disney

I am sorry if this has been posted already. Does anyone know of a good decent hotel to stay outside or around disney ? On our night before we arrive. It could even be an hr away on our way down.thanks

It sounds like you're driving? So I'd look for somewhere that offers free parking (it seems as you get closer to Disney, some places charge).

For Orlando:
My boss swears by the Caribe. She stays there every year (this was year 16 for her). We stayed recently at the Harbour Lakes Marriott and really liked it.

If you can't quite make it to Orlando:
We usually stay at the Fairfield Inn in Valdosta, GA.

This last time, we stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Lake City and it was fine. Lake City is about ~2.5 hours to Orlando. A little closer than Valdosta and psychologically nice since it's actually in Florida.

We are only 6 hours away, but depending on our schedule we sometimes opt to leave the afternoon/evening before we check in and drive 3-4 hours. We have stayed in Lake City (about 2.5 hours) and Gainesville (about 2 hours). Ocala is another choice about 1.5 hours from Disney. Any of these cities would be convenient if you're coming down I-75 South. There are many chain hotels to choose from at all price points in each city.
