Hi :wave2:
I am just look at the prices for Jan 06 to get an Idea of what to expect to pay for next year and for the price of a 3 night stay at DLH we can stay 5 nights for £200 less at HNY now I am trying to decide what i should do :confused3 .

5 nights will probably be to long for us anyway with the cold however at NYH we can book for 2 nights and get a night free and a 3 night stay at DLH will be costing nearly £400 more.

The pros of staying at DLH out weigh the cons eg, Location with it being cold, having a young child, get to the park early before crowds etc
on the other hand with have stayed at HNY, we like it, we will be able to stay for a longer trip, will have more spending money, better pool(not sure if we use it in January though)

any opinions welcome :)

I'm having a similar sort of quandry!! After pricing up one room at the DLH, I then realised that we could stay in two rooms at the HNY for just £100 more. I realise that sounds stupid to most people - not so good hotel for more money. But personally I find not having to share a room with my little darlings, makes for a more relaxing holiday - and a nicer parent!! ;)

In your situation I would still say stay at the HNY. To me the difference in cost would be quite considerable, and the HNY isn't that far from the parks.

On the flip side the New York is closer to the village.

The solution to the problem is :

1 ) Flip a coin,

2) If you feel you lost on the coin toss you know what you want.

if it was me i would go for the dlp hotel, as not queuing with the crowds to get in, its nearer and more plush, more characters etc, but then the hny isn't that far, if we go back we are only going for 2 days and staying in the dlp, as i feel 2 days is enough once you have been before.

Sounds like a good plan to me! I would say the extra £100 is worth it! :goodvibes

I am leaning towards HNY and just have a meal at DLH which is something we've never done before. still not a 100% sure though.

good Idea.. I did that when I was choosing my units at uni recently :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've not stayed at either hotel but on balance I'd go with more money and HNY :)

We have just got back from a 5 night saty at HNY. Again we looked at DLH and there was a fair amount extra to stay there, looking at the spec of the rooms it seemed generally they were the same and if was just the hotel reecption that looked more grand.

I found we spent little time in the hotel anyway, just showering, sleeping and eating breakfast which was all fine.

The walk from HNY takes literally minutes and even pushing a double buggy we never found it a bind.

I too would go to HNY - you still get the disney characters in the hotel numerous times throughout the day and are right in the hub of disney village too.

Hope this helps
Nat
